The Purple Folder

During the re-decorating and constant furniture re-arrangement in the first few weeks of ownership Anna cleverly took photos and kept them in a safe place. She continued during the first year, with photos of the first customer, Alan (he still comes in) the snow, various cakes, including the world famous Guinness cake featured twice on Terry Wogan's radio 2 show, yes really, twice!

Quietly during the cold nights of early spring and with nothing good on telly she composed a folder, but not just any folder of photos stuck on bits of paper but a folder with a story and for those that are hard of thinking, like Gavin, it had big pictures !

This folder grew and grew and on the cafe's first anniversary party in August Anna presented the folder to Gavin, Gavin handed over his usual present of a mug. Finally Gavin has finished reading it and it is now available in the cafe. Pictures of all our special events are listed and enhanced by the light hearted commentary. If you are alone and do not fancy reading the newspaper, ask for the "purple folder"
